DirecTaq™ DNA Polymerase

DirecTaq™ DNA Polymerase

Varizymes' DirecTaq DNA Polymerase is a recombinant, truncated (lacks 5’ to 3’ exonuclease activity), highly thermostable DNA polymerase from the thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus. The enzyme is thermostable up to 98 °C and is highly active even in unpurified samples (e.g., whole blood). It is supplied with 4 M betaine to improve amplification of GC-rich DNA and 30% sucrose to improve amplification of inhibitor-rich substrates, such as blood.
