EconoScript™ Reverse Transcriptase

Varizymes' EconoScript Reverse Transcriptase is an RNA-dependent DNA polymerase ideal for use in RT-PCR and first-strand synthesis of cDNA for generation of cDNA libraries from single-stranded RNA, DNA, or RNA:DNA hybrids.  EconoScript Reverse Transcriptase is engineered for decreased RNase H activity which enables synthesis of longer cDNAs (>5 kb).

    Properties

    • Decreased RNase H activity for longer cDNA synthesis.
    • Lacks 3’ to 5’ exonuclease activity.
    • Temperature range: 40-50 °C, optimal temperature at 42 °C.
    • Heat inactivation: 70 °C for 20 minutes.
    • Buffer composition: 50% glycerol, 50 mM Tris-HCl, 50 mM KCl, 1 mM DTT, 0.1 mM EDTA, pH 7.5 (alternate buffers available as custom orders).
    • 10X EconoScript Reaction Buffer included.
    • Storage temperature: -20 °C.
